Happy Asian American Heritage Month!!

The time is upon us again, folks! Happy Asian American Heritage/History Month, everybody!!! Today was meant to be the Blog for Asian Americans day, but, we have rescheduled to May 31st. Meanwhile, find yourself an Asian American and wish him/her a happy AAHM. And, if ever you were looking for a reason to educate yourself about Asian Americans beyond the usual "everything about APIAers is the foreign culture side of us", now's the time to learn about Chinese American immigration, Japanese American internment, the history of the Sikh Americans, ane more! Gosh! Who just can't wait to get started? To kick things off, this is my long-standing favourite picture of Yuri Kochiyama ever. Doesn't that just make you want to raise your own yellow or brown fist?

Why not a red fist? Native Americans crossed the landbridge from Asia so they have Asian heritage too ;_;

Or is it because some are descended from Polynesians and are too far removed from their Asian ancestors? :(

Do you consider Indians to be "asian" or only East asian?
