Carnival of the Feminists

The newly launched Carnival of the Feminists is getting off to a great start. Sour Duck will be hosting the third installment, which she hopes to focus on 1970's feminist thought. If you think you've got something to say, check out the call for submissions. I'm not sure I would have much to say directly on 1970's feminism -- I'm not ashamed to admit I'm not an academic feminist nor would I feel comfortable coming up with something profound and enlightening on such a topic. However, I'm excited to see what Sour Duck comes up with, I'm sure it'll be enlightening and entertaining. To check out the first two installments, see: #1 by Philobiblon #2 by Personal Political

Thanks so much for this post and the links!

I'm hoping you or one of your readers will write a piece and submit it for the third issue (or perhaps a future issue?).

While I emphasised feminist thought in my call for submissions, I'm open to other areas (e.g., movies).

While I'm looking for originality and a certain amount of substance, please don't feel I'm looking only for "academic" type pieces.

I hope I haven't scared people off. I'll shift the emphasis in my second call for submissions (to be posted in a few days' time).

Thanks again for helping spread the word.

lol, no, it's more like i don't think i have anything super-profound to say ^_^ i feel i'm still in my 'learning' phase -- the last two carnivals have been extremely interesting reads, and i don't think i'm really on that level yet.

Oh, I see.

Well, you can alway submit something to future issues, or act as host. It would be great to see an issue of The Carnival of Feminists at Reappropriate.

Hope I'm not sounding like a used car salesperson. ;) Or salesman. Whatever. :)
