Blogger Back Links and Comment Moderation

It's pretty cool -- yesterday, I despised Blogger because I couldn't seem to get a post to publish. There was something very wrong with the DNS server, making Blogger unable to recognize my host. Today, I'm impressed. Blogger has unveiled a nice new set of features. First of all, they have developed their own "backlinks" system which works just like trackbacks but also uses Blogger's Search function to scan the internet for posts that link to yours, meaning that people don't have to ping your site to add a trackback. That's good news since most people don't know how to trackback and when I added the feature, electroman was the only one trackbacking me. Secondly, Blogger has finally unveiled a comment moderation function. This is excellent since now I can keep track of comments if they appear prior to the posts on the main page, and I can delete racist hate-comments that crop up periodically on this site. So, bravo, Blogger! All is forgiven!

Hey CIB, thanks for the comment! Yeah, I like this feature a lot too... I've turned it off temporarily because I prefer to let people comment as they want, but I like that Blogger is responding to demands to make commenting more dynamic.

I noticed the new features too, but have been a bit tied up at the moment to play around with them. But this sounds promising.
